Dr. Rhiannon Bevan

MBBS (Hons)

Dr Rhiannon Bevan graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery ( Honors) from the University of Sydney 2010.  Rhiannon also obtained a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from Bond University in 2004 and a Graduate Certificate of Public Health from the University of Western Sydney in 2010.

She also obtained a Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney in 2014.  Before becoming a Doctor, Rhiannon was a Sleep Technologist at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in Sydney.

Rhiannon moved to Toowoomba in 2013 working at the Toowoomba Base Hospital.

Dr Cameron Carmody

FRACGP, MBBS, B.ASc (Nurs), MBA

Dr Carmody has worked in many nursing roles in Victoria ACT and Queensland, both as a senior clinician and as a health administrator, his last role was a Director of Nursing position in country Queensland prior to starting his medical degree.

 

He has significant experience in Intensive Care Medicine, and the surgical specialties Orthopaedics and Otolaryngology Head and Neck surgery prior to joining the Platinum team in General Practice. Dr Carmody has an active interest in chronic disease management, in particular sports  medicine, dermatology, skin cancer medicine and surgery. While having interest in all aspects of family medicine.

 

He currently provides medical support to the Darling Downs Australian Rules Football community and in particular the University Australian Rules Football Team. He is also supportive of Smithy's boxing gym and their events in the Garden City.

Dr. Jesse Carroll

FRACGP, MBBS

Dr. Jesse Carroll graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Griffith University in 2010.

 

Jesse grew up in Toowoomba and began her medical career at Toowoomba Base Hospital until she joined Platinum Health Group in 2014.  Jesse has a keen interest in women’s health and minor wound repair.

Dr Alex Coe

FRACGP, MBBS, BSc

Dr Alex Coe graduated from UQ with a MB BS in 2009. Upon graduating, Alex worked in a number of regional Queensland Health hospitals including Redcliffe, Mount Isa and Harvey Bay before moving to the Toowoomba region in 2013.

 

Dr Coe joined the Platinum Health Group in 2014 as a GP Registrar with GPTQ. Alex completed his first year as a registrar at Platinum on North Medical Centre before moving to Village Medical Centre at Highfields to complete his registrar training. He became a fellow of RACGP in 2015 after his successful completion of his GP Training.

 

Alex continues to practice at Village Medical Centre in Highfields and has special interests in Women’s Health and Weight Loss, interests that see him assist in the  gynecology, obstetrics and obesity fields.


Alex has completed a Certificate of Dermoscopy and continues to further his knowledge and skills in the area of Skin Cancer through his current studies of Master of Medicine (Skin Cancer).

Dr Kate Craft

FRACGP, MBBS

Dr Kate Craft grew up in Brisbane and graduated from The University of Queensland with MBBS (hons) in 1993. She worked at the Nambour hospital after graduation for three years before commencing her General Practitioner registrar training.  Dr Craft completed her registrar training in practices on the Gold Coast, Warwick and Toowoomba. In 1999, Dr Craft attained her Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Fellowship.

 

After two years at the Fiveways Medical Centre, Graceville, Brisbane, she returned to the Wilsonton Medical Centre in 2002 and has practiced at Platinum Health Group of doctors since that time.

 

Dr Craft is interested in chronic disease management and preventative medicine.  Her working week involves several sessions in theatre assisting Dr Donaldson (Breast /Endocrine surgeon).

Dr Julie Crozier

RACGP, MBBS

Julie was raised in Gatton, and studied medicine at the University of Queensland, training mostly in North Queensland. She is married with four adult children. Julie teaches cello part time, as well as continuing her general practice here at Wilsonton Medical Centre for the past 25 years.

Dr Sharyn Donaldson

FRACGP, MBBS

Graduating from Qld University in 1986 I worked as a resident at Toowoomba Base Hospital before returning to Brisbane and starting physician training. Due to family was lucky to return to Toowoomba in 1992 to live. I attained my FRACGP IN 1993 while working part time in General PRACTICE. In 1997 I set up the St Andrews Diagnostic Breast Clinic which now sees about 50 patients per week. I am Chair of Blush Breast Cancer Incorporated a local charity which raises funds to support breast cancer patients on the Downs.

Dr. Michael Gordon

FRACGP, FRCRRM, MBBS

Dr Michael Gordon graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of QLD in 1986.  Michael has a fellowship with the RACGP FRACGP and FRCRRM.

He spent next 9 years gaining diverse experience at Redcliffe, Logan and Caboolture Hospitals, moving to Oakey in 1996 as Medical Superintendent of Oakey Hospital, as well as commencing General Practice in Oakey at that time.  Michael joined the Platinum team in 2014, and now works at our Platinum On North Medical Centre.  Michael is married with 3 grown children.

Dr Laura Lee-Allison

RACGP, MBBS, BBiotech (Hons)

Dr Lee-Allison graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Queensland in 2010. Dr Lee-Allison also has Bachelor of Biotechnology from Griffith University and did her honours at University of Queensland.

From 2011 to 2013 Dr Lee-Allison practiced at the Logan Hospital, 2014 at Wilsonton Medical Centre followed by a year at Lindsay Street Medical Centre. In 2016 Dr Lee-Allison commenced with Platinum Health Group gaining her fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr Lee-Allison’s special interests include Women’s & Family Health, Paediatrics, various aspects of General Practice & improving patient’s health journey. She also engages in casual teaching at Queensland Rural Medical Education in Toowoomba (Registrar training) & is expanding her skills in skin cancer excisions.

Dr Kate McEniery

Dr. Roy Nicholls

MBBS FRACGP, MBBS, Bsc Hons 1 PhD

Dr Roy Nicholls graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (Bsc Hons 1 ) from the University of QLD in 2003.  He has a fellowship with the RACGP and a Doctorate of Biochemistry (specialising in alcoholic liver disease).  Dr Nicholls has worked in cardiac theatres at the Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane as a medical perfusionist (heart-lung machine during cardiac surgery and other surgeries), trained in Paediatric emergency before joining the Platinum team in 2013.

Dr Nicholls has a particular interest in general dermatology and skin cancer medicine and surgery. He currently lectures at the University of Queensland Rural Clinical school and is studying for a diploma of dermatology.

Dr Sidya Raghavan

RACGP

Dr Sidya Raghavan has been in the Australian health care system since 2005. She moved to Toowoomba in 2012 to complete her Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Fellowship, which she attained in 2014.

 

Her special interests are women’s health, children health, chronic health conditions and family medicine.

 

Dr Raghavan also has a special interest as a medical teacher. Registered organisations engage Dr Raghavan as a Medical Educator to teach medical students and registrars.

Dr. Philip Stark

RACGG, FRACGP, MB ChB. CCODOG

Dr Philip Stark graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Leeds UK in 1982. He has a Dip RACOG and is a fellow of the RACGP.

Phil moved to Toowoomba in 1986 managing the Stenner Street Medical Centre from 1990 to 2011 before joining Platinum Health Group in 2012.

Phil is a Medical Educator and a Registrar Supervisor.  He is interested in all aspects of General Practice.
